Warehouse Forklift Driver
About the position
The position is responsible for all activities associated with the safe operation and care of a forklift. The individual must be qualified to operate the forklift properly and will be expected to complete and document a forklift inspection form before the start of each shift and when operating a new forklift. Maintenance work orders for needed repairs must be turned in to supervision. The employee will maintain neat, orderly, and safe stacks of stock in storage areas and complete necessary paperwork accurately and in a timely manner. Additionally, the employee must maintain an accurate location of stock in the storage area through paperwork and computer systems, maximizing the utilization of equipment by operating the machinery at available capacity and speed. Adherence to the daily production schedule is crucial, and the employee is expected to make recommendations for optimizing the schedule to meet cost, quality, delivery, and service goals. Compliance with all company policies and procedures, including safety and maintaining good housekeeping, is mandatory. Additional duties may be assigned by management as needed.
