You will craft and execute strategies to elevate our client servicing and event execution to world-class standardsThe Event Planners’ mission is to plan, coordinate, and execute a diverse range of events with exceptional customer service, adaptability to changing client needs, and a strong focus on meeting or exceeding internal sales and event margin goals. They play a crucial role in creating memorable experiences that showcase our products and services while contributing to the overall growth and success of the BoomPop platform.What you'll doTeam ManagementManage a team of people managers & one of the largest organizations within BoomPop.Manage department hiring & scaling - we have ambitious growth goals & this role is critical in helping us get there.Empower your team to do their best work - we are not micro-managers, we encourage the team to take autonomy and solve their own problems. Ability to balance strategic vision with meticulous attention to detail - we don’t ask anything of the team that we don’t do ourselves, we hold ourselves to the highest standard, so that we are role models to our teams, we're servant leaders.Event Management & Client ObsessionYou are expected to bring industry shortcuts and cheat-codes with you to the job! You’ll guide the team, and handle escalations, and work with Client Success to strategize on client retention, satisfaction, and expansion - especially for high value logos.Deep knowledge of the events industry (i.e., hotels, meeting venues, etc.)Experience in organizing and managing events including corporate meetings, conventions, conferences, and other large-scale special occasions.Experience in a client-facing role and (bonus points!) enterprise client expansionExperience in overseeing large events.Process & Product Optimization & TrainingImprove and enforce our events team operations, including SOPs, event financials, and other cross-functional processes to position the team for growth. Coach and train the team to be world-class. We want our NPS to maintain 80+.Become a critical voice and influencer on the product roadmap: working with the product and design teams to get the product to also be (near) perfect.Work closely with the finance team to close the books for events, and carefully track revenue and margin goals.QualificationsBachelor’s degree or higher - minimum 8-15 years of related experience required, 15-20 years preferred.Experience managing teams - strong interpersonal skills and sound judgment. Event expertise - strong knowledge of all aspects of event management. Strategic thinking - you think big and are ready to scale the team and build a world-class, billion-dollar organization.Technical ability - ability to use & improve our product, proficiency in spreadsheets, and detail-oriented.Highly efficient - ability to handle a large volume of work while not degrading quality.Proactive - act without being told what to do, and follows up with clients proactively. Takes ownership - accountable for events, clients, and team.
