Volunteer Social Media & Growth Analyst (3-Month Role β Nonprofit)

Give to Africa is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in California, connecting donors with grassroots, African-led nonprofits. We use technology, storytelling, and data-driven strategies to amplify the work of community changemakers across the continent.
We're currently running our Frontline Fund campaign and are seeking a passionate volunteer to help us grow our online presence, expand donor engagement, and strengthen our digital storytelling.
Role Overview:
We are looking for a Volunteer Social Media & Growth Analyst with a strong background in analytics, content strategy, and digital growth. If you understand how to drive impact through social media, love data, and want to use your skills for social good β we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
β’ Analyze and improve our social media engagement using tools like Meta Business Suite, Instagram Insights, etc.
β’ Develop and track metrics to report weekly growth and performance
β’ Support influencer and athlete outreach and collaboration efforts
β’ Assist in creating and scheduling content (graphics, video, stories, etc.)
β’ Recommend and manage paid social ad campaigns (Meta, IG, etc.)
β’ Collaborate with our campaign and communications team to align messaging
β’ Help grow our digital footprint across platforms (LinkedIn, IG, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube)
Qualifications:
β’ Proven experience managing or analyzing social media for nonprofits, startups, or campaigns
β’ Strong understanding of social media trends, audience segmentation, and growth tactics
β’ Experience working with influencers, athletes, or content creators
β’ Graphic design skills (Canva, Adobe tools, etc.) preferred
β’ Experience managing paid ads (Facebook/Instagram) is a big plus
β’ Excellent communication and organizational skills
β’ Passion for social impact and global causes
Time Commitment:
3-month volunteer role (approx. 5β10 hours/week). Flexible schedule, remote-friendly. Perfect for someone seeking meaningful nonprofit experience while building their portfolio.
