Our client is transforming its engineering organization, and data-driven decision-making is at the heart of this evolution. We are looking for an Engineering Operations Manager to join a small and highly impactful team reporting directly to the COO.This is a transitional, high-visibility role perfect for a senior individual contributor who has been executing at a high level and is ready to step into leadership and take true ownership. You will be the architect of our engineering metrics, bringing standardization, transparency, and actionable insights. You will be setting the strategic vision for our SDLC tooling while rolling up your sleeves to build dashboards, automate workflows, and measure the ROI of our AI tools.RequirementsProven track record as a highly effective senior individual contributor (e.g., Engineering Operations, Data Analyst, Technical Program Manager) who is ready to step into a management/leadership role.Deep, hands-on administrative experience with Jira, including complex workflow design, automation rules, and cross-system integrations.Strong proficiency in building dashboards using modern BI tools or platform-native reporting (e.g., DX platforms, Tableau, PowerBI) to visualize DORA, flow, and delivery metrics.A thorough understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), engineering processes, and how data flows through a modern developer ecosystem.Practical understanding of modern AI coding assistants (GitHub Copilot, Claude) and a mindset geared toward measuring their impact on developer productivity.Technical capability to build data transformation pipelines, automate reporting workflows, and write scripts to connect APIs across disparate tools.Exceptional ability to translate complex engineering data into clear, trusted, and concise narratives for Senior Leadership, Executives, and the Board.Deep grasp of Agile methodologies and the specific metrics required to gauge program health and capacity in a scaling engineering org.Experience establishing data standards from scratch and a meticulous eye for identifying and correcting flawed data points.Advanced English (C1/C2)ResponsibilitiesJira Ownership & Governance: Own end-to-end Jira configuration, designing and governing standardized workflows that perfectly align with our engineering operating model.Dashboard Architecture: Build, maintain, and own a suite of engineering KPI dashboards tracking DORA metrics, flow metrics, capacity, and portfolio visibility.Delivery Health Tracking: Develop and maintain a comprehensive "Delivery Health" dashboard to provide accurate, real-time insights into the status and forecasting of all engineering programs.Leadership Partnership: Partner closely with Engineering and Product leadership to define, standardize, and establish a single source of truth for actionable engineering metrics.AI Tooling Measurement: Track and measure the adoption, usage, and ROI of AI tools within the SDLC.Data Hygiene & Integrity: Establish data governance protocols to ensure rigorous reporting integrity and data hygiene across all engineering systems.Workflow Automation: Hands-on automation of data extraction and workflow processes to drastically reduce manual reporting efforts across the organization.Ecosystem Integration: Actively integrate tooling across the engineering ecosystem, heavily connecting Jira with Developer Experience (DX) platforms and future agentic solutions.Tool Evaluation & Optimization: Continuously evaluate, implement, and manage new engineering tools, providing measurable data on tool optimization and ROI to justify investments.Visionary Execution: operate between setting high-level tooling strategy and executing hands-on data transformations or system integrations.BenefitsUdemy courses of your choiceTeam-buildings, events, marathons & charity activities to connect and rechargeWorkshops, trainings, expert knowledge-sharing that keep you growingClear career path Absence days for work-life balanceFlexible hours & work setup - work from any of listed locations and organize your day your way
