*VIRTUAL* Social Worker Opportunity | Ann Arbor, MI
VocoVision is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Virtual School Social Worker to provide support to students in need of social-emotional assistance through our teletherapy platform. This remote position allows you to make a meaningful impact to students in Michigan while enjoying the flexibility of working from home.
Key Responsibilities...
Provide virtual counseling and support to students with social, emotional, and behavioral needs
Collaborate with school staff, parents, and community resources to address student concerns
Develop and implement individualized intervention plans based on student assessments
Assist with crisis intervention and provide referrals to appropriate services as needed
Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to developing comprehensive support plans for students
Maintain detailed records of sessions, progress, and reports
Job Details:
Contract: 1099 independent contractor (self-employed)
Hours: Flexible schedule, aligned with school hours and student needs
Location: Fully remote, work from home
Compensation: Competitive hourly rate, based on experience and qualifications
Qualifications:
Masters degree in Social Work (MSW)
Active state licensure as a School Social Worker
Experience working in school settings, with knowledge of IEPs and 504 plans
Familiarity with teletherapy platforms and virtual counseling techniques (preferred but not required)
Strong communication, empathy, and problem-solving skills
Reliable internet connection and video conferencing setup
