Virtual Receptionist - Nursing Home coordinator

Xpress Wellness Urgent Care is seeking a qualified Virtual Medical Receptionist - Nursing Home Liaison to join our team. As the Virtual Patient Service Specialist is responsible for all front office duties, including e-mail correspondence, insurance verification and patient data integrity. The Virtual PSS acts as patient concierge for the NH facilities by providing excellent customer service to... patients and families. The employee will obtain registration data, provide "good faith estimates" of patient responsibility, communicate with patients, patient families, providers, and Nursing Facilities when required. Employee will ensure patient confidentiality at all times. Responsibilities
• Consistently provides superior internal and external customer service. Ensures patient flow runs smoothly and efficiently. Communicates effectively with patients, families, providers, and facilities
• Obtains patient registration and insurance information. Promptly and accurately enters patient data into computer system
• Verifies patient's insurance. Accurately enter/update patient information, communicates anticipated patient responsibility in accordance with patient's insurance plan
• Follows all HIPAA guidelines and rules. Maintain proper personnel conduct and confidentiality of patent, staff, and physician information
• Manages patient charts, arranges referrals when needed, and sends patient information and records as requested by other medical entities with a high level of initiative and integrity
• Assists other staff when needed in a positive, team centered manner
• Assist in scheduling and following up on provider referrals
• Seeks out methods and practices to minimize financial risk
• Contracts with auditing services to ensure proper financial monitoring and controls are compliant and up-to-date
Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and electronic medical record systems
• 2+ years of experience in a customer-centric role preferred
• BLS certification preferred
• Familiarity with or ability to understand insurance summary data preferred.
