Virtual Machine Subject Matter Expert

Are you ready to be with a company that truly values your contributions? We are currently looking to hire an experienced Virtual Machine (VM) Subject Matter Expert (SME). In this role you will be primarily responsible for working within the VMware vSphere environment to build, modify, deploy, and configure Windows and Linus based virtual machines (VMs). This role supports both new and legacy courses within the customers propriety LMS.
Requirements:
Ā Deep knowledge of VMWare tools and products, especially vSphere and ESXi
Ā Five (5) year's VM maintenance experience and troubleshooting techniques
Ā Comfortable with command line scripting and architectures in different systems
Ā Well-versed in scripting languages such as PowerShell and/or BASH as well as programming languages, such as C
Ā Knowledge of physical computer components and architectures to include:
Ā Functions of various components and peripherals
Ā Basic programming concepts
Ā Assembly codes
Ā TCP/IP, OSI... models,
Ā Underlying networking protocols
Ā Security hardware
Ā Proficiency in writing, editing, and executing scripts on Windows and Linux systems
Ā Must be resourceful and a self-starter and complete tasks within realistic time frames
Ā Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in a Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or technical discipline from an accredited college or university
Highly Preferred:
Ā Experience programming in languages such as C++, C#, Ruby, Perl, Python, SQL
Ā Experience with Ansible and HashiCorp tools, especially Packer
Ā Certifications such as
Ā CEH
Ā LPT
Ā GXPN
Ā GPEN
Ā GREM CCNA
Ā CCNP
Ā CCIE
Ā RHCE
Ā CompTIA's A+
Ā Cloud+
Ā Server+
