Virtual Care Provider (Telemedicine) - Maryland
• *Role Overview:**
Rocket Doctor USA is seeking board-certified Primary Care Physicians (MD/DO) licensed in Maryland to provide high-quality virtual care to managed care patient populations. Physicians will conduct comprehensive telehealth visits addressing acute concerns, chronic disease management, medication management, and preventative care.
This opportunity is structured as an Independent Contractor (1099) position. Physicians are not employees of Rocket Doctor but will provide services through our digital platform.
• *Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct virtual primary care visits
• Diagnose and manage common adult conditions
• Prescribe medications electronically
• Order labs and imaging as appropriate
• Provide clear and thorough documentation within the EMR
• Coordinate referrals and follow-up care
• Deliver patient-centered, evidence-based care
• *Required Qualifications:
• MD or DO (Board Certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine)
• Active, unrestricted Maryland medical license
• Active DEA registration
• Experience working with managed care populations preferred
• Comfortable with telehealth and digital clinical platforms
• Strong documentation and communication skills
• *Schedule & Commitment:
• Flexible scheduling options available
• No overnight call
• Clinic blocks available weekdays and/or weekends
• *Credentialing & Support:
Rocket Doctor will manage all credentialing with New York health plans and payors. Our administrative and billing teams handle operational workflows so physicians can focus on patient care.
