AI-powered video analysis can monitor congestion, detect accidents, and adjust traffic signals dynamically to improve flow. Computer vision can identify suspicious activities and enhance emergency response by analyzing live video feeds. Smart parking systems can use video analytics to detect available spots. Video analytics can identify potholes in roads and bridges. Cities worldwide are integrating these technologies to improve urban living. The successful candidate will contribute to the development of computer vision video analytics solutions as part of the Smart City program Responsibilities include detecting complex events from video streams, designing fully contextualized and actionable alerts, and developing automated workflows to enhance the quality of life and attractiveness Qualifications Good understanding of computer vision principles as used in video analysis. Familiarity with algorithms for object/people detection, image and video segmentation, background subtraction. Background in data analytics and data science. Experience with Python development. Experience with Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration. Ability to collaborate with the City of Divisions, IT and Operations Performance Management teams. Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
