Vice President of Life Product

Position Description:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamicVice President, Life Product Development , to lead our talented team of actuaries. In this strategic leadership role, you will oversee the development of our life insurance products, leveraging your expertise to drive product innovation and growth. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and interface with both internal and external constituents to ensure our products are competitive, compliant, and aligned with market trends.

Position Location:
This is a hybrid role working partially in-office and partially from home. This position will be based in Lincoln, NE office.What you do:
Lead and manage the Life Product Development team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Oversee the design, development, and management of a broad life insurance product portfolio, including Term, Whole Life, IUL, and VUL products.
Collaborate with actuarial, underwriting, marketing, compliance, and sales teams to ensure the successful launch of new products and enhancements.
Serve as a key liaison with external stakeholders, including reinsurers, distributors, and regulators, to ensure alignment with industry trends and regulatory changes.
Provide strategic direction and leadership to ensure products are responsive to customer needs while maintaining a focus on profitability and sustainability.
Represents the organization's Mission, Vision, and Values by exemplifying leadership and customer focus.
Acts as an enterprise contributor by partnering with leaders throughout the organization on cross-division initiatives.
Continuously assess market trends, customer feedback, and competitive landscapes to identify opportunities for product innovation and differentiation.
Develop and implement processes to monitor product performance, ensuring continuous alignment with organizational goals and customer expectations.
Support the development and execution of the companys long-term product strategy, contributing to overall business growth and profitability.What you bring:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required. Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or a related field preferred
Minimum 10 years of industry experience with some exposure to life product development, including leadership roles.
ASA or FSA actuarial designation required.
Strong experience with life insurance products such as Term, Whole Life, IUL, and VIUL.
Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interface effectively with internal stakeholders and external partners.
Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities, with a demonstrated track record of successful product launches and enhancements.
Ability to thrive in a collaborative and dynamic environment, with a focus on growth and continuous improvement.
