As Vice President of Engineering, you will oversee a high-performing engineering team, including an Engineering Manager and six software engineers, guiding them through the entire product lifecycle—from roadmap creation to launch. This role is ideal for a hands-on technical leader who thrives in fast-paced, startup-like environments and has a passion for scaling teams, driving innovation, and making an impact at both the strategic and execution levels.Accountabilities:
Lead, mentor, and scale a team of software engineers and an Engineering Manager
Own the product roadmap and oversee the end-to-end delivery of a new software product
Translate business needs into technical requirements and architectural decisions
Ensure engineering excellence through robust QA practices and scalable development processes
Foster innovation by evaluating and adopting emerging technologies
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, product, and support
Maintain operational excellence by owning team workflows and development tools
Manage technical relationships with strategic partners and stakeholders
Requirements
10+ years of experience leading product-focused engineering teams
Strong background in UI technologies (JavaScript, TypeScript, React.js, Node.js, GraphQL)
Proficiency with SQL and backend distributed systems, including experience with big data
Experience working closely with UI/UX designers and contributing to user-focused features
Proven ability to guide architectural direction and scale engineering processes
Strong interpersonal skills with experience mentoring and managing cross-functional teams
Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences
Experience managing competing priorities in fast-paced, high-growth environments
Preferred: Background in AdTech or experience as a founder/early-stage startup leader
