Vice President - Engineering
Job Description:
ā¢ The Vice President of Engineering is responsible for leading, delegating, and supporting the development of practices, procedures, and systems to support a continuously improving and profitable engineering organization.
ā¢ Oversee design, modification, and improvement of company engineering projects and services; directs the design of testing and maintenance processes, and ensure quality control.
ā¢ Delegates and empowers engineering directors and project managers in formulating effective business plans, financial analytics, and client communications.
ā¢ Establishes budget controls, coordinates project and process changes to maintain and improve cost/benefit ratio.
ā¢ Reviews engineering designs in light of the organizations strategic goals, performance objectives.
ā¢ Coordinates the development of efficient organizational structure, including the development of knowledge, skills and abilities; and establishes a succession plan to facilitate a steady and efficient organizational growth and efficiency.
ā¢ Administrative Duties.
Requirements:
ā¢ Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Construction Management.
ā¢ 7+ years of engineering leadership experience.
ā¢ Effective verbal and written communication skills.
ā¢ Detail-oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment.
ā¢ Versed in the industry and the Company's competitors.
ā¢ Ability to multitask and perform duties outside of the scope of work when necessary.
ā¢ Project Management Institute (PMI) Certification.
ā¢ Professional Engineer License.
ā¢ Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
ā¢ Climbing stairs.
ā¢ Remaining in a stationary position, often kneeling, standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
ā¢ Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
ā¢ Quiet environment.
ā¢ Light work that includes adjusting and/or moving objects up to 20 pounds.
ā¢ 30% of time will be spent traveling to job site(s)/office location.
