Vice President - Engineering
Job Description:
⢠The Vice President of Engineering is responsible for leading, delegating, and supporting the development of practices, procedures, and systems to support a continuously improving and profitable engineering organization.
⢠Oversee design, modification, and improvement of company engineering projects and services; directs the design of testing and maintenance processes, and ensure quality control.
⢠Delegates and empowers engineering directors and project managers in formulating effective business plans, financial analytics, and client communications.
⢠Establishes budget controls, coordinates project and process changes to maintain and improve cost/benefit ratio.
⢠Reviews engineering designs in light of the organizations strategic goals, performance objectives.
⢠Coordinates the development of efficient organizational structure, including the development of knowledge, skills and abilities; and establishes a succession plan to facilitate a steady and efficient organizational growth and efficiency.
⢠Administrative Duties.
Requirements:
⢠Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Construction Management.
⢠7+ years of engineering leadership experience.
⢠Effective verbal and written communication skills.
⢠Detail-oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment.
⢠Versed in the industry and the Company's competitors.
⢠Ability to multitask and perform duties outside of the scope of work when necessary.
⢠Project Management Institute (PMI) Certification.
⢠Professional Engineer License.
⢠Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
⢠Climbing stairs.
⢠Remaining in a stationary position, often kneeling, standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
⢠Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
⢠Quiet environment.
⢠Light work that includes adjusting and/or moving objects up to 20 pounds.
⢠30% of time will be spent traveling to job site(s)/office location.
