Role Specific Information Job Description About the Role In this role you will be a key driver of change within the Kohl's organization. You will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive AI strategy that will transform our business, from merchandising and marketing to supply chain and customer service. Through strategic leadership and deep AI expertise, you will enable Kohl’s to harness Artificial Intelligence as a competitive advantage and shape the future of retail. What You’ll Do • Develop and champion a clear vision and strategy for how AI will be leveraged across the Kohl's organization to drive business value and competitive advantage. • Lead the charge in transforming Kohl's into an AI-driven organization. This includes fostering a culture of innovation and data-driven decision-making, as well as developing the necessary skills and capabilities across the company. • Create and maintain "heat-maps" that identify the functional areas and specific processes where AI can deliver the most significant benefits and efficiencies. • Partner with business leaders to identify, prioritize, and develop a portfolio of high-impact AI use cases that align with our strategic objectives. • Drive the implementation of AI solutions, from pilot projects to full-scale deployment. This includes overseeing project management, managing resources, and driving operational change to ensure successful adoption. Partner with the VP of Data and Analytics to identify and implement AI platforms. • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and a robust tracking system to monitor the progress, adoption, and impact of AI initiatives across the organization. • Work closely with leaders in Technology, Data & Analytics, and various business units to ensure that our AI efforts are coordinated and aligned. • Identify and cultivate relationships with external partners, including technology vendors, startups, and academic institutions, to stay at the forefront of AI innovation. • Additional tasks may be assigned. What Skills You Have Required • 15+ years of experience in technology, with at least 8-10 years in a senior leadership role focused on data science, analytics, or artificial intelligence. • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science. • Proven experience leading large-scale, cross-functional transformation initiatives in a complex organization. • Deep understanding of AI, machine learning, and related technologies, with a demonstrated ability to translate technical concepts into business value. • Ability to think strategically and develop a long-term vision, while also being able to execute and deliver tangible results. • Strong business acumen, with the ability to understand and address the needs of various business functions. Retail industry experience is a significant plus. • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and inspire at all levels of the organization, from the C-suite to individual contributors. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making. Preferred • Advanced degree (Master's or PhD).
