Position Overview: As a Venture Capital Associate at Los Angeles Venture Partners, you will play a pivotal role in sourcing, evaluating, and executing investment opportunities. You will collaborate closely with the investment team to conduct due diligence, financial analysis, market research, and assist in managing portfolio companies. Responsibilities: • Identify and source potential investment opportunities through networking, research, and industry events. • Conduct thorough due diligence on prospective startups, including market analysis, financial modeling, competitive landscape assessment, and management team evaluation. • Collaborate with the investment team to prepare investment memos, presentations, and recommendations for internal review and decision-making. • Assist in structuring investment deals, negotiating terms, and coordinating legal and financial documentation. • Monitor and provide ongoing support to portfolio companies, tracking performance, and offering strategic guidance as needed. • Stay abreast of industry trends, market dynamics, and emerging technologies to identify new investment themes and opportunities. • Cultivate relationships with entrepreneurs, co-investors, and industry experts to enhance deal flow and insights.
