All Jobs > Patient Account Specialist VALUE-BASED RCM Apply Patient Account Specialist Fully Remote • REMOTE Apply Description JOB SUMMARY The Patient Account Specialist for Value-Based RCM, Inc. (VBRCM) is responsible for managing inbound and outbound calls related to patient accounts, all while ensuring the highest level of patient satisfaction. MAJOR AREAS OF FOCUS Customer Service Medical Billing RESPONSIBILITIES Use, protect, and disclose patient protected health information (PHI) only in accordance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) standards Exhibit professional behavior and communication skills representative of VBRCM's commitment to superior customer service Interact with patients via phone, email, or online chat to provide support and information on their account or upcoming procedure, using professional telephone etiquette Assist patients with inquiries regarding their account, charge descriptions and insurance Coordinate with various departments within VBRCM to ensure patient requests are handled appropriately and timely Identify opportunities to improve processes and services within the department and company Maintain a strong knowledge of client processes Support team through strong attendance and performance Perform other duties as assigned Requirements KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, including active listening Working knowledge of EOB’s, CPT and DX codes Ability to work independently and as part of a team Knowledge of HIPAA and PHI guidelines Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability and desire to work in a remote environment EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE High school diploma or equivalent required Healthcare customer service experience required PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times BENEFITS: Paid time off Work from home 401K plan options with company match Company-sponsored medical, dental, and vision insurance Company-paid life insurance, long-term disability, and shot-term disability JOB TYPE: Full-time HOURLY RATE: $17 - $19 per hour JOB LOCATION: Work from home SCHEDULE: Monday to Friday Salary Description HOURLY RATE: $17 - $19 per hour Apply View All Jobs Powered by Payroll & HR Software
