This role involves designing intuitive user experiences, building wireframes and prototypes, and delivering high-quality UI solutions that align with our mission and user needs. You’ll play a key role in taking our platform to the next stage through rapid design, testing, and iteration cycles.Key ResponsibilitiesTake ownership as the main UX/UI voice in our product design and development.Translate business goals, user stories, and rough UX flow concepts from our Product Manager into specific UX choices and the layout of UI elements (page layouts, buttons, icons, interactive experiences, etc.) to enhance the overall user experience.Collaborate with the product team on UX workflows and solutions sketching.Collaborate with the Creative Director to iterate & enhance our brand-appropriate typography, color palettes, etc. and help us evolve our internal visual style guide.Rapidly create and iterate on wireframes and prototypes as part of a cyclical design thinking process with the Product Manager and development team. Meet CS design specifications around browser requirements and ensure th platform is responsive, including a strong emphasis on the mobile experience for our platform customers.Enhance and grow our design system and become the care taker of the system so that our product and team can benefit on future solutions and user experiences.Stay up-to-date on best practices, similar digital products, and applicable emerging technologies.Help conduct and participate in user research and data analysis to uncover insights about user interaction with the platform.Requirements and competences to work with usExperienceAt least 5 years of experience in UI/UX-focused roles designing intuitive interfaces for enterprise software platforms.Portfolio of high-quality designs that have had a proven impact on digital products and platforms.Extensive experience collaborating with a development team, seeing a design implemented, and iterating based on user testing and feedback.Create, manage and hold regular user experience feedback sessions to ensure our customers’ voices are heard on future designs and concepts built in the platform.Demonstrated experience and ability to create responsive designs.Knowledge and SkillsFamiliarity with user research and data analysis techniques.Experience and comfort rapidly creating and iterating wireframes and clickable prototypes to flesh out ideas that can be tested and implemented.CompetenciesProven ability to effectively collaborate, communicate, and respond with an open mind in an ambiguous environment with challenging and fun problems to solve.Empathy and adaptability to understand the needs of users, customers and team members and meet them where they are.Creativity and problem-solving skills that allow you to both think deeply about problems and quickly sketch and ideate solutions on the fly.Relevant details before applying for this vacancyJob Type: 20hr/week contractor; Flexible hoursOriginally posted on Himalayas
