Empowering Minds Resource Center is looking for a candidate to submit authorizations for behavioral health program services...
Job Duties:
Ā Review provider clinical documentation to ensure compliance with COMAR and/or CARF regulations.
Ā Responsible for submitting PRP, OMHC and Care Coordination authorizations and gathering supporting documentation (i.e. Collaborations, referral and diagnostics).
Ā Acts as a liaison with OPTUM to provide feedback on system updates, authorization requirements (# of required visits).
Ā Pull authorization list weekly and communicate with client services.
Ā Follow up with authorizations until processing.
Ā Check authorizations daily
Ā Maintains accurate records of all communication and documentation in the EHR system.
Ā Meet weekly with PRP Director.
Ā Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Ā BA Degree and experience preferred
Ā Must be able to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization.
Ā Strong personal, phone, and written customer communication skills.
Ā Ability to prioritize work assignments and shift work efforts based on the needs of the department or agency goals.
Ā Ability to manage time effectively, work independently and be self-motivated.
Ā Demonstrate initiative and problem-solving skills.
Ā Excellent computer skills
