The Butler Plant operates 24/7, and this role involves shift work, including weekends, holidays, standby duties, and on-call responsibilities. The proposed schedule for this position is Wednesday to Saturday, 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM, but this is subject to change based on operational needs.We are excited to offer a $4,000 hiring incentive for this night position.The Butler Water Reclamation Facility is a state-of-the-art 10 MGD Membrane Bioreactor Facility.This position is classified as the second level of Wastewater Treatment Plant Operations. Key responsibilities include:
Monitoring, operating, and performing preventive maintenance on treatment plants and remote sites.
Conducting routine inspections and identifying issues with processes and equipment at the Butler WRF and Influent Pump Station.
Completing additional tasks as assigned by the Lead Operator or Supervisor.

A current Grade 2 or higher Wastewater Treatment Certification from the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ).
Alternatively, a current wastewater certification from another state, with reciprocity acceptable to ADEQ.

Candidates must possess an ADEQ Grade III certification or a Grade II certification in Wastewater Treatment upon hire, with the requirement to achieve a Grade III certification within one year of employment.
