US Tax Accounting Associate

The Part-time US Tax Accounting Associate will support the US Tax Manager in tax compliance and reporting activities, focusing on indirect tax including US and Canadian Sales Tax filings. Responsibilities Assist in preparing and filing US and Canadian Sales Tax returns (monthly and quarterly) across various states Support the preparation and submission of withholding tax forms Gather and organize financial data and documentation to support tax audits and requests from US and Canadian tax authorities Maintain and update tax-related schedules, workpapers, and documentation in an organized and accurate manner Collaborate with internal finance teams to ensure tax compliance and timely filings Assist with data analysis and reconciliations using Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, etc.) Support other tax and accounting-related projects as assigned Skills Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field Proficient in bolthires Excel (comfortable with Pivot Tables and data analysis) Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and a structured, organized way of working Excellent written and verbal communication skills Basic understanding of US tax concepts (Sales Tax, Withholding Tax, or 1099 reporting) An interest in music Company Overview SoundCloud is a social sound platform where anyone can create and share sounds.It was founded in 2007, and is headquartered in Berlin, Berlin, DEU, with a workforce of 201-500 employees.
