US Online Educator (Remote) *Spanish-Bilingual*

Part-Time Literacy Tutor (Remote) Are you a Spanish-speaking educator ready to make a difference in young readers' lives — all from the comfort of your home? At Hoot Reading, we’re on a mission to change children’s lives through literacy, and we’re building our network of talented bilingual educators for the 2025–2026 school year! Educators at Hoot Reading provide 1:1 online reading lessons using innovative technology and a Science of Reading curriculum — empowering teachers to focus on what they do best: teaching! We primarily support students during school hours through school-district partnerships across the U.S. We are seeking bilingual Spanish–English teachers to teach literacy lessons in English. In some cases, you may be paired with students whose primary language is Spanish and who would benefit from having a teacher who can speak their first language to support them during English instruction. Your Availability and Schedule: • Hours: We are currently looking for teachers who can support morning lessons from 9:30 AM – 11:30 AM CT, Monday to Thursday. Some afternoon and evening opportunities may be available, but they are limited. This is a part-time role, and hours vary based on student enrolment and scheduling needs. • Commitment: Teachers can expect to work 5–10 hours per week, depending on program demand and alignment with your availability. Actual hours are not guaranteed. • Consistency: Students meet with the same teacher three times per week at the same time of day. For this reason, we prioritize teachers who can offer consistent availability across multiple weekdays (Monday to Thursday). What are we looking for? • Bachelor’s degree in education (or equivalent) is required. • 2+ years of K-6 teaching experience with a strong grasp of phonics, decoding and reading fundamentals. • Tech-savvy with a reliable laptop, internet, and quiet workspace. • Being bilingual in English and Spanish is required.
