Work you’ll do/Responsibilities The Data Scientist will analyze, cleanse, and model complex data to help organizations make better decisions and predict future trends. Communicate regularly with Engagement Managers (Directors), project team members, and representatives from various functional and / or technical teams, including escalating any matters that require additional attention and consideration from engagement management The Team AI & Engineering leverages cutting-edge engineering capabilities to build, deploy, and operate integrated/verticalized sector solutions in software, data, AI, network, and hybrid cloud infrastructure. These solutions are powered by engineering for business advantage, transforming mission-critical operations. We help clients innovate, enhance, and manage their data, AI, and analytics capabilities, ensuring they can grow and scale effectively. Qualifications Required 7+ years of experience Experiment design and causal inference 7+ Years Experience with Core causal methods: Difference-in-Differences (Did), synthetic controls, geo-based matched markets 7+ Years experience in End-to-end conceptualizing of the analysis from a high-level business question (method choice → data pull plan → analysis) 7+ Years experience in Story telling: being able to explain complex analytical results to stakeholders in a business-friendly language Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline; or equivalent experience Limited immigration sponsorship may be available Ability to travel 10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve Preferred Additional causal methods: instrumental variables (IV), regression discontinuity (RDD) Marketing/analytics tooling exposure (helpful but not required): Markov chains w/ bootstrapping, XGBoost Analytical/ Decision Making Responsibilities Analytical ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks into manageable work products Can operate independently or with minimum supervision Excellent Written and Communication Skills Ability to deliver technical demonstrations The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $97,000-$179,000.
