Summary/Objective
American University is seeking certified Group Fitness Instructors to teach Group Exercise classes. Candidates must have a current Group Fitness Instructor certification and/or specialty certification. Experience in teaching one of the following formats - HIIT (high low aerobics), barre, strength, small group training, Zumba, dance fit, Pilates, kickboxing, or indoor cycling classes - is highly recommended. Open to both internal and external candidates.
Work Environment
In-person group fitness classes at American University Main Campus.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
Part-Time.
Salary Range
Starting at $24/hour and commensurate with experience.
Required Education and Experience
Must hold a current Group Fitness Instructor certification. Examples of accepted certifications:
ACE group fitness certification.
ACSM group exercise instructor certification.
AFAA group fitness instructor certification.
NETA group exercise instructor certification.
Zumba instructor certification.
Indoor cycling certification.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
Candidates will be expected to complete an audition.
