JOB SUMMARY:
The Director of Program Management helps the Data & Analytics (D&A) leadership team manage dependencies across programs and ensures that the department's goals align with the planned work. This role will identify, analyze, and coordinate activities across programs with accountabilities ranging from project management, analysis, operations, defining and tracking KPIs and helping with various operational functions of the department.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree, preferably in business, computer science or related field of study
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSE/REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS:
Relevant business and/or technology certifications a plus
Scrum Master certification a plus
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:
7+ years of experience in Program Management or similar roles (i.e. Product/Project Owner/Manager, Scrum Master, etc.) leading or coordinating work across multiple workstreams, preferably in an agile environment in a technology organization
Fulfilled a leadership role in a technology centric organization
Healthcare, Life Sciences, or Clinical industry experience a plus
Demonstrated ability to present and message targeted at the executive level. Able to easily translate to / from executive to individual contributor level
Demonstrated ability to make rapid and complex decisions that optimize across multiple, and at times, competing objectives
Demonstrated results orientation, setting ambitious goals, removing obstacles, and holding self and others accountable for achieving results for customers and the business
Demonstrated ability to operate and influence at the team level in a complex, matrixed environment with the ability to execute across internal stakeholders
Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate technical matters to technical and non-technical individuals, and to all levels of management
Independent self-starter with strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required.
Manage, mentor, and grow a team of Program or Project Managers, and Analysts and in an enablement role in collaboration with leaders across the organization
Develop program/project plans that identify key milestones, deliverables, and timelines
Monitor and track progress of program/projects to ensure on-time delivery
Identify potential risks and develop contingency plans to address them
Facilitate cross-functional teams to execute program/project plans
Manage program/project budgets, including tracking costs, forecasting expenses, and reporting on budget variances
Foster relationships with stakeholders to ensure alignment of program/project goals with business objectives
Evaluate the effectiveness of program/project management processes and recommend improvements
Continuously improve program/project management practices, tools, and techniques
Report program/project status to executive leadership, including progress, risks, and recommendations for improvement
Own monthly SLAs and KPIs reporting
Frequently interact cross-functionally with project managers and internal customers
Other duties as assigned by supervisor. These may, on occasion, be unrelated to the position described here
Attendance and punctuality are essential functions of the position

Code reviews of teams or individuals
