Associates degree or Parapro preferred. Ability to work well with others in a cooperative manner. Good communication skills. Evidence of initiative, independence, adaptability and efficiency. General understanding of child growth and development and child behavior characteristics. Ability to work well with children. Good language skills including English usage, punctuation, spelling and grammar. General understanding of the purposes and goals of public education. Specific subject area content as may be required by particular job assignment. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent may find appropriate.
