We're looking for a highly skilled and motivated Campaign Lead to join our team at AFA-CWA, working on the Delta Flight Attendant Organizing Drive in Atlanta, Georgia. About the Campaign The Delta Air Lines Flight Attendant campaign is the largest in the country, with 28,000 Delta Flight Attendants seeking to gain a voice, respect, and fairness on the job through an election conducted under the Railway Labor Act. Delta is the only U.S.-based mainline carrier where Flight Attendants are not represented by a union. AFA-CWA is working in a coalition with IAM and IBT to organize a total of 50,000 workers. Job Summary We're seeking an experienced and skilled Campaign Lead to work with Flight Attendants based in Atlanta, GA, as part of the national campaign. As a Campaign Lead, you will be responsible for assessing support for the union or campaign, identifying potential committee members, and moving workers to make concrete commitments and take action. You will also be responsible for recruiting people to a committee, facilitating committee meetings, and working with groups. Key Responsibilities: Assess support for the union or campaign, identify potential committee members, and move workers to make concrete commitments and take action Recruit people to a committee, facilitate committee meetings, and work with groups Understand and discuss issues in a way that contributes to the momentum of the campaign Utilize numerous organizing tactics, including home-visiting, cold phone calling, hand billing, and more Work with campaign leadership to develop and implement a local organizing plan Submit reports as required, but at least monthly Travel to work locations away from home and work location by car and plane to locations as needed Communicate effectively in writing, in speaking, and via electronic media Work with data bases, create basic flyers and other written material Requirements and Qualifications Essential Qualifications: 2 years minimum of prior relevant, applicable campaign experience Strong social, written, and verbal communication skills Patient in pressure situations and savvy with conflict management Bilingual, a plus Willing and able to take regular direction and learn from experienced campaign staff Willing to commit energy, heart, and long, irregular hours Ability to learn and implement the campaign basics Basic communications skills, able to do basic flyers and other written material Motivated self-starter able to learn and troubleshoot without heavy supervision Driver's license and reliable car, must be able to travel to work locations away from home/office location Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in the aviation industry or with flight attendants Knowledge of labor laws and regulations Experience with data management and communication Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks What We Offer Compensation and Benefits: We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, including opportunities for professional growth and development.
