Underwriting Property Inspector
DataRep Associates, a leading provider of underwriting inspections to insurance carriers is hiring experienced Property Insurance Inspectors in your area. This is the perfect part-time opportunity for a self-motivated individual who wants to set their own schedule. In this role you will perform property inspections to include the following...
Ā Physical inspections of residential or commercial properties in your territory. This includes traveling to the site, photographing the property, measuring the property, and inspecting for conditions and risks.
Ā Once back in your own home office, you upload photos and sketch, and complete online forms related to property condition, hazards, and building materials.
Ā You will setup appointments with the property owners for interior inspections when needed. Appointments must be during daylight hours, at a time that is mutually convenient for you and the property owner.
This job is a nice balance between getting outside and away from the desk, and time at home to make appointments and complete the required online forms. We have many active semi-retired individuals who enjoy the inspection business, but this is also a great opportunity for any responsible motivated individual looking to supplement their income with interesting and flexible work. Earnings are on a fee/contract basis for work completed.
Requirements:
Ā Must have a pleasant personality and be able to interact positively with property owners.
Ā Must enjoy being outdoors and driving to properties to be inspected.
Ā Must be self-motivated, able to meet for appointments on time, and turn in work on time.
Ā Must have reliable transportation.
Ā Must have a reliable computer with high speed internet.
Ā Must have a smartphone.
Ā Digital Camera suggested but not required if Smartphone used for photos.
All necessary training provided for Loss control 360 and Rapid sketch software. We have a friendly and helpful in-house office staff available Monday-Friday 8:30 - 4:30 to support our field inspectors.
Experience in insurance underwriting, building/construction, or real estate appraisals is a plus.
