What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide underwriting support by validating data entry and assisting in documentation verification
- Complete transaction processing after underwriting binds an account, including policy drafting and premium booking
- Communicate with producers to obtain necessary information for transactions
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve policy questions and streamline processes
- Assist with special projects and system testing as needed
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Knowledge of insurance processes and procedures, particularly in surplus lines
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, as well as email and internet-based technology
- Excellent math and data analysis skills, with the ability to interpret and manipulate report data
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- College degree preferred
- Highly motivated with a positive outlook and a service-oriented mentality
