Trust Accounting Associate

The Trust Accounting Associate - Music will provide essential accounting services for agents and clients, including processing payments, maintaining booking reports, and settling shows based on agent numbers. Responsibilities Apply deposits for upcoming shows/tours to individual bookings Reconcile/apply commission payments Settle shows based on agent numbers Release payments and generate schedules for clients timely/based on urgency Maintain and update master release grid (deposits, settling, etc.) Actively collect updates of prior booking reports ("follow-up") and enter them into the system Attach appropriate supporting documentation to payments Provide information as requested by Agent's Offices and Coordinators Review unclaimed /held checks/wires to identify resolution File documents on a timely basis Maintain clean and organized desks Perform other accounting tasks as requested by Supervisors and management Escalate issues, as needed, to the responsible Trust Accounting Supervisor Support system and process improvement projects Funds on Hold follow-up Open booking follow-up Invoice follow-up Skills Bachelor's degree required Must have 1 or more years Accounting experience Strong interpersonal and communication skills Exhibit strong problem solving and critical thinking skills Ability to work well with a team and represent the culture of the company Team player with a high level of energy, enthusiasm Demonstrated ability to multitask and manage conflicting priorities Ability to succeed in a fast paced, highly demanding, high volume, dynamic, corporate environment Unimpeachable integrity and can be trusted to maintain confidential information Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite 10-key by touch Typing – 45 wpm min Good organizational skills; able to multi-task Will take initiative; ask for more work if needed Entertainment experience is preferred Company Overview Creative Artists Agency is an entertainment and sports firm that specializes in digital media, publishing, sponsorship, and endorsements.
