Travel Telemetry Registered Nurse | Olathe, Kansas
Provide expert nursing care in a Telemetry unit, focusing on cardiac patients in a dynamic hospital setting. This travel assignment offers the opportunity to apply specialized skills in cardiac telemetry, with a schedule designed for night shift professionals seeking a rewarding challenge.
Responsibilities:
ā¢ Deliver comprehensive nursing care to telemetry patients, including cardiac monitoring and post-procedure management.
ā¢ Manage TR Bands following cardiac procedures with precision and adherence to protocols.
ā¢ Administer cardiac drips such as Heparin, Butamax, Lasix, and Cardizem, ensuring accurate dosing and patient safety.
ā¢ Participate in the initiation and monitoring of Tikosyn/Sotalol therapy.
ā¢ Float across acute care units to support patient care needs.
ā¢ Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide optimal patient outcomes.
ā¢ Adhere to unit-specific schedules, including every other weekend rotation and holiday staffing as required.
Qualifications:
ā¢ Current Kansas RN licensure.
ā¢ BLS and ACLS certification.
ā¢ Minimum of 1 year recent telemetry nursing experience, with preferred 2-5 years in telemetry.
ā¢ Experience with TR Bands, cardiac drips, and Tikosyn/Sotalol initiation.
ā¢ Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records.
ā¢ Ability to work 12-hour night shifts (1900-0730) three days per week.
Schedule:
ā¢ 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, three days per week.
ā¢ Every other weekend rotation.
ā¢ Holiday coverage including Memorial Day and July 4th, per unit needs.
