Job Summary As a Transportation Procurement Manager at Amazon Cloud Logistics, you'll play a critical role in driving the procurement of transportation services to support our global data center operations. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams, including logistics, supply chain, and operations, to develop and implement strategic procurement plans that meet our business needs while ensuring compliance with Amazon's policies and procedures. Key Responsibilities: Develop and execute comprehensive transportation procurement strategies to support AWS data center operations, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services. Collaborate with logistics, supply chain, and operations teams to understand business requirements and develop procurement plans that meet those needs. Analyze market trends, supplier performance, and transportation costs to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements. Lead negotiations with transportation providers to secure favorable contracts and agreements that meet Amazon's business needs. Manage and maintain relationships with transportation providers, ensuring compliance with Amazon's policies and procedures. Develop and implement metrics and reporting to track procurement performance, identify areas for improvement, and measure supplier performance. Ensure compliance with Amazon's sustainability and social responsibility policies and procedures. Requirements and Qualifications Essential Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in transportation procurement, logistics, or supply chain management. Proven track record of developing and executing strategic procurement plans that drive cost savings and process improvements. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data sets and identify opportunities for improvement. Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with transportation providers and internal stakeholders. Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and projects simultaneously. Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. 7+ years of experience in transportation procurement, logistics, or supply chain management. Experience working in a cloud computing or technology industry. Certifications in procurement, logistics, or supply chain management (e.g., CPIM, CSCP, or CTL). Experience with procurement systems, such as SAP or Oracle.
