As a key member of our North America Policy team, you will develop and execute a comprehensive state and local government relations plan, leveraging your expertise to protect and promote the interests of our host and guest community.
In this critical role, you will:
Develop and implement a fully integrated state and local government relations plan, utilizing data-driven insights and innovative advocacy strategies to drive policy outcomes.
Lead and empower a high-performing team of public policy experts, fostering a culture of inclusivity, diversity, and belonging.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Global Sales and Operations, to identify strategic business opportunities and drive growth in the region.
Represent Airbnb at senior political levels, serving as a media spokesperson and building relationships with key stakeholders, including local, state, and regional legislative, executive, and administrative offices.
Manage complex projects, prioritize multiple initiatives, and allocate resources effectively to achieve strategic goals.
To excel in this role, you will bring:
12+ years of experience working with complex political or regulatory issues in a relevant business, non-governmental organization, or government context.
Senior leadership experience, with a proven track record of developing and managing diverse, multidisciplinary teams.
Expertise in campaign development, including paid and earned media, mobilization, and policy advocacy.
Strong people management skills, with experience in effective delegation, performance management, coaching, and talent development.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to distill complex technical and regulatory issues into clear, compelling narratives.
