Key Responsibilities As the CEO of Teen Cancer America, your key responsibilities will include: Developing and implementing strategies that align with TCA's mission and goals, ensuring the organization's continued success and growth. Providing leadership and management to a high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and collaboration. Serving as the primary spokesperson for TCA, representing the organization to stakeholders, partners, and the public, and developing the charity's regional, national, and international profile. Developing and executing comprehensive fundraising strategies to ensure TCA's financial stability and grow revenue to $5M, cultivating relationships with donors, sponsors, and partners, and leveraging networks to enhance fundraising efforts. Overseeing the development and implementation of TCA's core programs and initiatives, leading efforts to expand the program nationally, and building new corporate, healthcare, and charity partnerships. Leading the strategic planning process, working closely with the Board of Directors to set organizational priorities and goals, and implementing and monitoring strategic planning to ensure progress toward achieving TCA's mission and vision. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: Ten years of progressive senior-level leadership experience with a proven track record of successfully leading, managing, and growing a performance- and outcomes-based department, organization, or enterprise, preferably within the health, nonprofit, or philanthropic sectors. A deep understanding of the American health system and the specific challenges related to teen cancer, as well as a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion best practices and continuous learning. Excellent strategic, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to overcome challenges through the development of thoughtful and creative solutions. A proven track record and passion for fundraising, demonstrated in a commitment to maintaining current funders, a zest for cultivating new donors, an ability to generate new revenue streams, and a history of successfully taking organizations to the next level of sustained philanthropic support. Exceptional oral and written communication, networking, and public engagement skills, including the ability to adapt style and approach to diverse local constituencies and needs. Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: Experience working in the healthcare sector, preferably in adolescent and young adult cancer care. A strong network of relationships with healthcare professionals, researchers, and organizations focused on cancer care and treatment. Experience with program development and implementation, particularly in the context of nonprofit organizations. Familiarity with fundraising strategies and techniques, including grant writing, major gifts, and corporate partnerships.
