Developing and implementing IEPs that meet statutory and regulatory requirements
Monitoring student progress and facilitating adjustments to IEPs as needed
Collaborating with staff, parents, and outside agencies to ensure effective delivery of services
Providing consultation and resource information to parents and general education teachers
Teaching students and providing co-teaching and instructional support in the general education environment
Coordinating services to ensure a cohesive program of teaching and learning

The ideal candidate will have:
Demonstrated success teaching students from educationally underserved areas
Excellent organizational, planning, and implementation skills
Knowledge of current Special Education law, regulations, and best practices
Ability to work effectively with students, parents, staff, agencies, and community members
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
