Trade Compliance Counsel - Bilingual Spanish / English
Responsibilities : Advise on customs compliance matters, including valuation, classification, and country of origin determinations for imported goods. Review, draft, and negotiate documentation related to import / export compliance, low-value and express shipments, and trade regulations. Counsel clients on regulatory, risk, and compliance considerations in U.S. and cross-border trade operations. Monitor and communicate relevant changes in customs and trade laws to internal business partners. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including logistics, supply chain, and legal, to ensure compliance with customs requirements. Support the development and implementation of internal compliance policies, training, and governance frameworks. Qualifications : Fluent in Spanish and English (mandatory). Experience with customs valuation, classification, and country of origin rules (mandatory). At least 1 year of in-house legal experience (preferred). Experience with e-commerce or express shipments (preferred). Juris Doctor (JD) required; active bar membership in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Preferred Skills : Experience advising on customs compliance for low-value air shipments or e-commerce operations. Familiarity with global supply chains and trade compliance programs. Ability to work in a flexible, project-based engagement model and collaborate across teams. Compensation, Benefits & Location : This role offers a range of competitive compensation starting at $110,000 and a highly competitive benefits package in the alternative legal services marketplace that includes health benefits, 401K and more.
