Tournament Sales Manager

Job Purpose Own and drive tournament and group golf revenue by developing and executing strategic sales initiatives for outings of 16 or more players. This role is responsible for building a strong pipeline, converting leads into booked events, and delivering high-quality tournament experiences that meet or exceed revenue and booking targets. Responsibilities Drive tournament and group sales revenue through proactive prospecting, networking, and strategic outreach Develop and execute lead generation strategies aligned with club and market opportunities Identify, target, and convert key business segments based on local market and demographic insights Maintain an active and accurate sales pipeline, consistently tracking performance against revenue goals Build, manage, and expand relationships with corporate clients, members, and community partners to generate repeat and referral business Own the full sales cycle from prospecting through contract execution and post-event follow-up Utilize CRM tools daily to manage leads, document activity, and report on performance metrics Meet or exceed established activity benchmarks (calls, follow-ups, networking engagements) to sustain pipeline health Oversee tournament planning and execution, ensuring all event details meet company standards and client expectations Coordinate with internal departments and external vendors to deliver seamless, high-quality events Act as the primary client contact, including on-site presence when needed, to ensure successful execution Conduct post-event evaluations to drive client satisfaction, retention, and future bookings Provide consistent reporting on pace, pipeline, and revenue forecasts to leadership Participate in sales meetings, strategy sessions, and company initiatives Partner with operations and marketing teams to align sales efforts with overall business objectives Actively represent the club within the local community through events, trade organizations, and networking opportunities Execute club-level marketing initiatives in partnership with corporate marketing Support broader sales efforts across disciplines as business needs require Qualifications Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience Minimum of 2+ years of sales experience, preferably in golf, hospitality, or event-driven environments Proven ability to generate revenue and manage a full sales pipeline Strong business development and relationship-building skills Knowledge of golf operations and tournament structure preferred Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office tools Highly organized with strong time management and the ability to work independently Excellent communication and client-facing skills Working Conditions Frequent movement between office and outdoor golf course environments Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during events and site visits Occasional lifting of materials up to 20 pounds Exposure to varying weather conditions, including heat and humidity Moderate noise levels in event and operational settings Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on event schedules American Golf Corporation is committed to equal employment opportunities for all.
