The NYU Rory Meyers College of Nursing invites applications for a tenure track or tenured position, at the level of Assistant/Associate/Full Professor rank, with a start date of September 1, 2025.

PLEASE NOTE: As of January 27, 2025, we will no longer be considering new applications for Assistant Professor (i.e. entry-level) tenure-track lines for the 2024-25 recruitment cycle. We expect to be opening searches for the 2025-26 academic year later in mid-2025. Candidates for Associate or Full Professor lines are welcome to submit their applications on a rolling basis.

Tenured/tenure-track faculty contribute to the College's research and educational strengths with the vision and experience to advance our global mission. Tenured/tenure-track faculty at Meyers develop and grow a robust extramurally funded program of research, expertly teach across our academic programs, performs service activities at NYU, with the communities we serve, and as leaders within local, national and global professional organizations, and advocates for policy to advance health.

• Genomic and biomarker research in precision health, including observational and interventional studies on chronic diseases and health inequities

The Meyers Biological Laboratory, a Biosafety Level 2 facility, processes human biospecimens (blood, saliva) and offers DNA and RNA extraction, genotyping using PCR and qPCR techniques, and secure long-term sample storage (-20°C and -80°C). The laboratory coordinates specimen transportation and facilitates collaborations with NYU core facilities for advanced molecular analyses.

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is:

Assistant: $104,228.00 - $154,228.00

Associate: $125,000.00 - $185,000

Professor: $131,734.00 - $221,734.00

New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.

Qualifications

Requirements
• PhD or equivalent research focused doctoral degree

Assistant Professor Rank
• Postdoctoral fellowship training or equivalent research or policy experience

Associate or Full Professor Rank
• Active program of extramurally funded research
• Demonstrated history of strong interprofessional collaboration
• Demonstrated evidence in successful mentoring of early career faculty, doctoral students, and post-doctoral fellows

Preferred Experience
• University teaching experience
• Track-record of successful extramural funding (Assistant Professor)
