Job Summary As a Temporary Copy Editor and Data Entry Specialist at blithequark, you will be responsible for reviewing, editing, and updating pre-written lessons to ensure they meet the highest standards of quality, consistency, and accessibility. You will work closely with our team of content, technology, and education experts to design, document, and distribute online educational lessons that support K-12 educators and students. This is a part-time, 100% remote position with a flexible schedule, offering an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented and organized individual to make a meaningful contribution to music education. Key Responsibilities Copy edit lesson content to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with blithequark's standards and best practices Collaborate with the team to design, document, and distribute online educational lessons that support K-12 educators and students Enter reviewed and approved lesson content into a Content Management System (CMS) platform, ensuring it is displayed correctly and appears as expected Track and communicate project progress, providing quality assurance and attention to detail in creating and reviewing work Follow established workflows and editing best practices, iterating and expanding upon these workflows and documentation as needed Contribute to the creation of editing and language guides, documenting workflows and best practices Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you should possess: Excellent communication and organizational skills, with a strong attention to detail Knowledge of copy editing and lesson planning, with experience aligning lesson plans to educational standards and learning objectives Experience with data entry into Learning Management System (LMS) and CMS platforms, with the ability to proof and update content as needed Understanding of digital accessibility and inclusion best practices for online learning Strong interpersonal, organizational, and project management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and prioritize work with excellent efficiency and high quality Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable: Knowledge of music-related terminology and/or music experience Understanding of UX design principles to support developing engaging lesson materials Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At blithequark, we are committed to providing our employees with opportunities for growth and development.
