Teller III
About the position
The Teller III position at First Interstate Bank is responsible for performing daily teller transactions in both lobby and drive-up locations, while also delivering outstanding customer service. This role involves developing and maintaining client relationships, recognizing referral opportunities for additional retail products, and participating in dual control functions to ensure compliance with bank operations and security procedures.
Responsibilities
Ā Provides customer account services by receiving deposits and loan payments, cashing checks, issuing savings withdrawals, and selling cashier's checks.

Ā Answers customer questions in person and on the telephone.

Ā Records customer account transactions by logging cashier checks and preparing currency transaction reports.

Ā Cross-sells bank products by informing customers of new services and product promotions.

Ā Completes special customer requests such as closing accounts and providing special statements.

Ā Completes safe-deposit box procedures.

Ā Reconciles cash drawer by counting and packaging currency and coins, and maintaining supply of cash and currency.

Ā Complies with bank operations and security procedures by participating in dual-control functions.

Ā Maintains customer confidence by keeping information confidential.

Ā Improves teller job knowledge by attending training sessions.

Ā Processes expected number of teller transactions daily using current teller platforms.

Ā Utilizes 360View to process activities and referrals to business partners.

Ā Recognizes the need to place holds according to Reg CC and bank policies.
Requirements
Ā High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.

Ā 1-3 years experience in a cash handling and customer service role required.

Ā Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.

Ā Excellent mathematical aptitude.
,
Ā Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Ā Strong interpersonal skills.
