Television Series Story Development Intern
STORY DEVELOPMENT INTERNSHIP – TELEVISION SERIES (REMOTE / HYBRID)
Are you a media student ready to turn powerful real-world stories into compelling television?
We’re building a world-class story development team to shape a groundbreaking TV series. We're looking for curious, driven, and emotionally intelligent media students who want to roll up their sleeves and work in a real-world virtual writers’ room—crafting, researching, and shaping narrative arcs rooted in human triumph.
Location: Remote (U.S.-based preferred), with occasional live meet ups in LA and NYC Commitment: 10 hrs/week | 3-month engagement (with potential to extend)
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
• Research and develop true, character-driven narratives from real-world innovations, technologies, and events
• Craft treatments, outlines, and episodic beats for unscripted and documentary-style formats
• Conduct source interviews and identify narrative arcs that resonate emotionally
• Collaborate with senior producers, writers, and fact-checkers to bring authentic stories to life
• Pitch story ideas in a professional development setting
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
• Current or recent enrollment in a film, journalism, or media studies program
• Strong narrative instincts and an eye for emotionally resonant details
• Ability to synthesize complex nonfiction material into visual, character-driven beats
• Excellent research, organizational, and collaborative communication skills
• Writing samples that show clarity, tone, and a sense of voice (scripts, treatments, articles, or essays)
• Bonus: Experience with documentary development, TV formats, or journalistic storytelling
