A registered nurse with specialized expertise in telemetry is needed for a contract assignment in Jersey City, NJ. This role involves comprehensive patient assessments and the development of individualized care plans that address the physical, psychological, and developmental needs of patients across adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations. The position demands clinical precision in cardiac monitoring and telemetry management, alongside thorough documentation and interdisciplinary collaboration to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities: • Perform comprehensive admission assessments, including collecting health history and completing Braden scale evaluations. • Develop and continuously update age-appropriate individualized care plans, involving patients and families. • Utilize telemetry skills to correctly apply leads, interpret cardiac monitoring strips, and manage high-risk intravenous cardiac medications. • Implement chest pain protocols and assist with elective cardioversion as necessary. • Document all patient interactions, nursing interventions, medications, and education accurately and timely. • Coordinate patient care through an interdisciplinary approach and participate in patient care meetings. • Initiate and maintain discharge planning from admission through hospital stay, ensuring patient and family readiness. • Transcribe and verify physician orders accurately, complying with policies for phone and electronic orders. • Educate patients and families using appropriate teaching tools related to safety, care, and discharge instructions. Desired Qualifications: • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license. • Proven experience in telemetry nursing. • Strong clinical assessment and patient education skills. • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams. • Familiarity with electronic health record systems and telemetry monitoring equipment.
