Telemetry Nurse (RN) in Daytona Beach, FL
A rewarding opportunity awaits for a Registered Nurse with expertise in telemetry nursing. This contract role offers a chance to provide specialized care on a Medical-Surgical Telemetry unit within a supportive and dynamic hospital setting located in Daytona Beach, FL. Nurses will work primarily on the 2nd Floor MST unit, focusing on medically complex telemetry patients including post-surgical and orthopedic cases.
Key Responsibilities:
ā¢ Provide high-quality nursing care to patients requiring continuous telemetry monitoring
ā¢ Manage a patient assignment ratio of approximately 1:6
ā¢ Administer treatments, medications, and interventions as prescribed
ā¢ Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to plan and implement individualized care plans
ā¢ Float as needed to other inpatient units or to care for admitted holding patients within scope of competence
ā¢ Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record system
Qualifications and Experience:
ā¢ Active Florida or compact nursing license
ā¢ Minimum 2 years experience in Medical-Surgical Telemetry nursing
ā¢ ACLS and BLS certification required
ā¢ Comfort and proficiency in tele nursing care, including monitoring and responding to cardiac rhythms
ā¢ Experience with post-surgical and orthopedic patient populations is highly desirable
ā¢ Ability to work night shifts and fulfill weekend requirements (Friday-Saturday nights, 6 shifts in 6 weeks)
Schedule and Details:
ā¢ Shift: 1845 to 0715, total 36 hours per week
ā¢ Contract length: approximately 13 weeks
ā¢ No call responsibilities
ā¢ Floating expectations as needed
