We are looking for a Technical Writer to join the Cascades Team for Platform Services.

Senior Technical Writers are part of the user experience team and embed with our Agile teams to collaborate, support, and build. Senior Technical Writers document digital service infrastructure and applications, maintain excellence and consistency on our program teams, and help build foundational content strategy, infrastructure, and processes.
The Technical Writer is responsible for (Essential Functions):
Produces content for the developer platform including API documentation, developer tutorials, platform policies, and blog posts.
Creates feedback loops on content and documentation; writes, edits, and helps define best practices for documents such as API documentation or other technical writing support including developer tutorials and application-specific support for things like error messages.
Translates complex topics into easy-to-digest, plain language UI content.
Collaborates with research and design to develop a persona-driven and use-case-based information architecture approach to organizing site content.
Demonstrates acute technical accuracy and attention to detail.
Conveys complex technical issues to a wide array of audiences.
Demonstrates an understanding of information architecture concepts and how to apply them to site maps, organizational schemes, and structures.
Maintains a general understanding of product management, design, engineering, and user research, and how they interact.
Collaborates with others; makes work visible and advocates for good content.
Prefer experience as a Scrum Master.
Demonstrates exceptional people, writing, and communication skills with an openness to ideas and feedback from others.
Years of Experience: 3 years of relevant experience
Degree Requirement: Bachelor's degree in any area
Some basic requirements: All work must be conducted within the U.S., excluding U.S. territories. Some federal contracts require U.S. citizenship to be eligible for employment.
You must be legally authorized to work in the U.S now and in the future without sponsorship.
As a government contractor, you may be required to obtain a public trust security clearance.
Some of our available roles are on federal contracts that require a degree or additional years of experience as a substitute.

Actual compensation is influenced by a wide range of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and responsibility. The range of starting pay for this role is $73,621 - $102,934.
