Technical Writer (1yr Contract)

The Technical Writing team at Sendbird empowers developers to build successful businesses on our platform by delivering high-quality content — from documentation and user guides to tutorials, UI text, and beyond. As a Technical Writer, you’ll be at the center of the developer experience, transforming complex technical concepts into content that is clear, concise, and actionable. Your work will enable developers to quickly understand and make the most of Sendbird’s products. This role is perfect for someone who loves technology and has a knack for making the complex simple. You’ll collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and UX designers to create deliverables that meet real customer needs and help them succeed. What you will do Create content: Develop and maintain high-quality, easy-to-follow documentation, user guide, and UI text strings for Sendbird's products, ensuring clarity and accuracy. Improve content: Create an effective feedback loop and integrate the insights from our customers to our content. Expand content: Produce deliverables such as tutorials, video demos, and FAQs to help our customers fully engage with Sendbird's products. You will work closely with Product Managers, developers, solution architects and UX designers to achieve this goal. Enhance efficiency: Actively explore and evaluate emerging AI-powered tools to boost productivity within the organization. Stay current with industry: Conduct research on our competitor’s products, B2B product trends, and developer community activities to keep our documentation competitive and relevant. What you'll bring to the role Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Professional Experience: 2+ years of experience as a technical writer or content strategist. Writing and Communication Skills: Fluent in English and Korean, both written and verbal, and able to communicate and collaborate cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment. Proficient in collaborative tools: Familiar with tools like Git, GitBook, Confluence, Jira and similar services. We are specifically interest in Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Technical Writing, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Professional Experience: Any experience with AI or SaaS service development is a plus. Field Knowledge: Familiar with or interested in learning the concepts of API, SDK, client library and programming languages such as Swift, Kotlin, JavaScript, and more.
