Sr Strategic Finance Associate
What we are looking for...Casago is seeking a Sr. Strategic Finance Associate. This is a critical, cross-functional role responsible for ensuring the company captures the full value of its market sales and franchise agreements by owning the tracking and enforcement of complex deal terms like earnouts and clawbacks. Acting as the single point of accountability, this person will work across Finance, Accounting, Legal, and Ops to monitor performance, identify risks, and mobilize internal teams to address issuesâprotecting revenue, reducing exposure, and ensuring strategic execution of all buyer and franchise contracts.This position in 100% remote. Ability to work from home and resides in one of the followings states: AK, AL, AZ, CA, CO, DE, FL, GA, HI, ID, IL, IN, LA, MA, MD, ME, MI, MN, MO, MT, NC, NH, NJ, NM, NV, OH, OK, OR, PA, RI, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VA, VT, WA, WI, or WYWhat you'll doMarket Sales Value CaptureWork with product and leadership team to determine how we will track active units at all stages of lifecycle (pre-close, at close, during TSA, after TSA) for duration of all sales contractsProvide feedback to business development team on clawback / earn out provisions in each LOI / contractCapture key terms of each sales contract; become SME for all flavors of earn out / churn provisionsModel cash impact of each market sale and provide to appropriate parties, including impact on cash / ADLs at end of TSAMaintain master âactive unitâ tracking of each Buyerâs portfolioMonitor each Buyerâs portfolio vs. clawback provisions; develop tools / dashboards for others to do the sameIdentify where future payments are at risk; involve leadership and other parties to develop strategies to ensure eligibility for full payoutDevelop models to analyze tradeoff in pulling levers to try to add units to sold markets vs. the impact of getting to end of term having net churned unitsWork with AR team to track when future payments are due and liaise with Buyers for collectionMaintain master list of all seller financing and provide as input to relevant stakeholdersWork with accounting team to ensure all seller financing is correctly setup; ensure FP&A and Treasury are tracking appropriatelyWork with AR team to collect all seller financing paymentsMaintain master list of all convertible note products; build models to monitor if conversion makes senseMaintain master list of all JVs / deals with Seller carryWork with accounting team to ensure they understand implications of JVs / deals with Seller carry; ensure FP&A and Treasury are tracking appropriatelyTrack all other inclusions, exclusions, and adjustments in APAs in central repositoryTrack key terms of all TSAs in central repositoryFranchise Accounting Project ManagementWork with accounting team to ensure all necessary processes for franchise invoicing are stood upProvide end to end tracking of initial franchise fees to include payment and appropriate accrualsDevelop database for capturing key terms from all FDDs (providing bridge between legal, accounting, finance, and Franchise Ops)Ensure all discounts / special deals are appropriately documented and communicated to all stakeholdersHandhold each new franchisee through first several invoice cycles; provide extra set of eyes on each invoice prior to it being sent out for first several monthsOther duties, as assigned.Skills and Qualifications: Bachelorâs degree in hospitality,business, mathematics, statistics, data analysis, engineering, or a related field2+ Years experience in consulting, banking, or top tier accounting firm OR equivalent experienceExperience with Excel, SQL, and data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau)Intermediate accounting knowledgeFamiliarity with accounting systems a plus (e.g. Netsuite)Demonstrated track record of developing tools and systems for project managementExperience developing P&L and cash flow forecastsAdvanced understanding of franchise systems from both franchisor and franchisee perspectiveAbility to read and synthesize complex sales contractsSuperior analytical acumen and passion for solving complex problemsComfort with ambiguity and managing competing prioritiesMotivated to learn quickly and operate in a fast paced environment with tight deadlinesRuthless attention to detailAbility to work independently and accomplish tasks with minimal supervisionStrong communication skillsEffective at collaborating with all departments within the companyCompensation:$90700 - $126200 / year.
