Technical Intern: AI + Web App Development
Wavess is a predictive AI platform on a mission to bring clarity to modern marketing.
We're early-stage, fast-moving, and unapologetically focused on building tools that marketers actually need, not dashboards they’ll ignore. You’ll work directly with the founder, shape real product features, and see your code translate into customer value from day one.
Type: Unpaid Internship (4 months)Location: RemoteStart: 23.06.2025Commitment: ~25 hours/weekIdeal for: Master’s students in Computer Science, Data Science, or AI/ML fieldsLanguages: English
Tasks
What You’ll Work On
As our technical intern, you’ll work hands-on across core areas of our early product stack. That includes:
Developing and improving lightweight internal tools and early-stage user-facing features
Working with APIs, web scraping, and data pipelines to extract and clean market or behavioral data
Experimenting with LLMs (OpenAI, Anthropic) to turn messy input into structured insights
Rapid prototyping with frameworks like Streamlit, Gradio, or Flask
You’ll work closely with the founding team, co-create technical direction, and get full context on why we’re building what we’re building.
Requirements
Tech Stack We Use
You don’t need to know everything listed — but familiarity with some of these will help:
Python, React, Pandas, BeautifulSoup or Selenium
Streamlit or Gradio
OpenAI API, LangChain, function-calling
Airtable, Notion API, lightweight database usage
Basic front-end (HTML/CSS/JS) is a plus
Who You Are
Enrolled in a Master’s program (CS, Data, AI/ML, or related)
Comfortable working independently and figuring things out
Strong communicator: you can ask for help when needed
Genuinely interested in B2B tech, SaaS, or startup ecosystems
Bonus: You’ve shipped your own side project or built an MVP
Benefits
What You’ll Gain
Experience building products from zero, not just maintaining code
Exposure to real customer problems, not theoretical ones
A founder-level view on product, growth, and execution
A strong reference, and potential to transition into a paid role as we grow
Option to lead tech modules if you stay longer or want to scale with the company
A Note on Payment
This is currently an unpaid role. We’re focused on validating and monetizing core features and the first revenue we unlock goes to the people building it.
If we hit early success (consulting deals, paid pilots, SaaS modules), we plan to convert the role into a paid student position or freelance contract.
We don’t care about fancy résumés. We care about curiosity, initiative, and how you think.
