You will guide the technical direction for advancing ANYmal’s industrial inspection capabilities. Collaborating closely with Product Managers, Quality Engineers, and other peers in the R&D department, you will work as pioneers to design and refine our next-generation inspection solutions. Your focus will be on driving innovation, enhancing the accuracy and reliability of inspection intelligence algorithms, and leveraging them to build innovative products. Your Contributions Drive the development of cutting-edge inspection solutions for ANYmal as an active member of the development team.Foster an outcome-driven culture by defining and reinforcing tangible, measurable goals, breaking down open-ended challenges into actionable work packages, and adapting plans as needed based on short feedback cyclesCollaborate closely with the Product Manager to define and execute a focused roadmap, unlocking the full potential of ANYmalMentor and empower team members, fostering skill development, technical excellence, and professional growthAttract, recruit, and onboard top-tier engineering talent to build a world-class team.Partner with team and department leads to continuously refine workflows and drive cross-functional collaborationEnsure high standards of software quality across all deliverables, emphasizing reliability, robustness, and maintainability Your Profile An engineering or science degree with a focus on computer science and/or computer vision, ideally with a focus on Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence.Excellent leadership skills with a proven track record of managing software engineering teams in hardware products.Strong expertise in computer vision algorithms and sensor fusion, with a vision for developing and integrating technology in industrial applications.Strong communication abilities.Strong at strategic thinking with the ability to set and align goals, break down complex challenges into actionable tasks, and foster a culture of continuous improvementGood proficiency in writing high-quality C++ and Python code, with a solid understanding of the software development lifecycleStrong ability to navigate build vs. buy decisions, leveraging established solutions when possible enabling the in-house development of challenges yet to be solved.Strong experience in user-centric software development and is effective in collaborating with product managers, designers, quality assurance engineers, and other stakeholders Bonus Points Practical experience working with real robots or other mechatronic systemsProven experience deploying computer vision / ML algorithms in production environments Total Compensation range.
