Tax Associate (Seasonal, Business)
About the position
The Tax Associate (Seasonal, Business) role at Intuit involves providing expert guidance and tax preparation services to customers, particularly focusing on business tax returns for Partnerships and S Corporations. Responsibilities
ā¢ Manage complex business tax returns for Partnerships and S Corporations.

ā¢ Provide tax advice and full-service business return preparation.

ā¢ Assist customers with product/software inquiries and tax calculations.
,
ā¢ File tax extensions and document customer interactions.
,
ā¢ Create high-quality customer interactions that instill confidence.
,
ā¢ Utilize government websites and professional resources to deliver accurate answers to customers.
,
ā¢ Apply defined practices and company policies to troubleshoot customer issues.
,
ā¢ Participate in pilot testing, projects, and experience validations as needed.
Requirements
ā¢ 3 or more years of recent experience preparing federal and state business tax returns (1065 and/or 1120-S) for at least 20 clients/customers per season.
,
ā¢ Minimum of 2 seasons of personal tax preparation experience, with a minimum of 30 tax returns per tax year.
,
ā¢ Commit to a minimum schedule of at least 20 hours/week throughout the tax season.
,
ā¢ Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations.
,
ā¢ Bookkeeping experience with books to tax preparation is preferred.
,
ā¢ Must possess or be able to obtain any related state licenses, certificates, permits, or bonds.

ā¢ Must possess an active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN).

ā¢ Working knowledge of Circular 230.
,
ā¢ Proficient with technology and solid knowledge of computer operations and software.

ā¢ Strong customer service skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills.

ā¢ Critical thinking, problem solving, research skills, and determination.

ā¢ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
