Tax Accountant – Tax Preparation & Review (Seasonal | Remote) - Contract to Hire
Were a fast-growing U.S.-based tax strategy and advisory firm serving dentists, doctors, and high-income business owners nationwide.
We are seeking an experienced Tax Accountant to assist with preparing and reviewing tax returns during tax season. This role is ideal for someone with strong technical knowledge who can work independently, prepare organized returns, and communicate professionally with clients.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and review U.S. tax returns (1040, 1120S, 1065)
Ensure returns are accurate and complete prior to final filing
Communicate with clients when additional information or clarification is needed
Review financials and supporting documents before preparation
Assist the tax team during busy season deadlines
Maintain organized digital workpapers and documentation
Requirements:
Strong experience preparing U.S. tax returns
Proficiency in Intuit ProSeries (required)
Experience with QuickBooks Online (QBO)
Comfortable communicating directly with clients
Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
Experience working in a tax or accounting firm preferred
Ideal Candidate:
Experienced tax preparer who can also review returns
Comfortable working with small business owners
Organized and able to work independently
