Systems Engineer
Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a Systems Engineer to work with colleagues and government clients from various DoD and other agencies. The role involves performing systems engineering, planning space and ground system acquisition programs, and providing technical expertise to ensure compliance with security protocols and government requirements.ResponsibilitiesWork with Booz Allen colleagues and government clients from various DoD and other government agencies to perform systems engineering and plan space and ground system acquisition programsHelp the military integrate the GPS system User Equipment across a large stakeholder communityProvide technical subject matter expertise to determine Air Worthiness and ensure relevant security protocols are being metDevelop and enforce GPS User Equipment Security Certification processes and proceduresEvaluate acquisition documents to ensure compliance with government requirements, processes, and policiesProvide acquisition expertise and counsel to government acquisition officesSkillsExperience with development or evaluating aviation softwareExperience performing certification authority activities per the military standard order (MSO) programExperience conducting software reviews per Radio Technical Commission for Aeronautics (RTCA) DO-178 and DO-254Experience conducting Airborne Electronic Hardware (AEH) reviewsKnowledge of Technical Standard Order program authorization processes and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations and guidanceKnowledge of RTCA DO-229 for equipment certificationAbility to be highly motivated, have a dynamic work ethic, and contribute to the DoD missionAbility to communicate and establish collaborative relationships with government clients and contractor teammatesSecret clearanceBachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or Computer Science1+ years of experience with development or evaluating aviation software1+ years of experience performing certification authority activities per the military standard order (MSO) programExperience reviewing and approving MSO functional data per MSO-C145b and DO-229Experience reviewing certification plans and change impact analysesAbility to develop issue papers and MSOA lettersAbility to develop MSO standards and guidance per MSO-C145Possession of excellent interpersonal skillsPossession of excellent verbal and written communication skillsMaster's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or Computer ScienceBenefitsHealth, life, disability, financial, and retirement benefitsPaid leaveProfessional developmentTuition assistanceWork-life programsDependent careRecognition awards programCompany OverviewBooz Allen Hamilton is a consulting firm that specializes in analytics, technology, and engineering.
