Services are provided through counseling curriculum, individual planning, responsive services, and support services. Services may be delivered through individual and group activities. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties.Analyze student data and develop data driven programs for intervention action plans.Provide responsive services to individuals or groups on academic and personal issues.Delivers individual and group counseling curriculum, supporting student development.Provide an individual planning system to guide students toward postsecondary goals.Assist students in the acquisition of study skills, academic opportunities, and postsecondary opportunities.Provide system support to strengthen the efforts of teachers, staff, and parents.Support standardized testing programs; parent education; staff development.Advise seniors on graduation requirements, and help them plan their path to graduation, including changes and updates to their graduation planProvide seniors with periodic updates regarding their graduation status throughout the yearCompletes ILPs and Senior meetings properly and in accordance with GCA's rules, procedures, and as directed by the Counseling & Student Support Services DirectorParticipate in department initiatives and projects as assignedCreate and support opportunities for growth in the areas of college and career readiness for our studentsStay up to date with trends and opportunities in the realms of college and career readinessPresent on Dual Enrollment in District and Department EventsOther duties as assigned Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no formal supervisory responsibilities. MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Master's degree of Education School Counseling or related field of study ANDThree (3) years of professional school counseling and/or advisement experience ANDProven experience in effecting positive change in an educational setting OREquivalent combination of education and experience CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES:GA PSC School Counseling License/Certificate P-12desired GA PSC Teaching/Educational CertificateClear Fingerprint/Background Check Required.
